Spring 2024

Our Spring 2024 “teenAGE” issue explores the intricate bond between youth and social media, delving beyond influence on taste and style to how it shapes identities and impacts various aspects of life. It examines our generation’s significant imprint on the digital landscape, highlighting our obsession with capturing moments and the importance of being present. This exploration celebrates youth while encouraging reflection on past lessons, crucial for shaping our collective future as we transition into the real world. I hope this issue inspires you to reflect and feel nostalgic.

Creating ZIPPEDMag.net

Prior to starting this role, I knew I wanted to modernize the way we shared content with our college readers. In the past, Zipped's two facets of content stemmed from one print edition per semester and our Instagram page @zippedmag, which primarily promoted the print issue. However, given the digital-native nature of our readership, it was time to expand our web presence. Therefore, I laid out two digital strategies for the semester; creating more video campaigns to increase audience retention as well as traffic to print, and launching Zipped Magazine's first-ever website.

Having never made a website before, I combined my previous web strategy experience and many YouTube tutorials to create Zippedmag.net. Zippedmag.net serves as a one-stop interactive web space to browse all the current news in fashion with an experiential approach. The website features web exclusive stories dropping every week, in-person events followed by video coverage, brand collaborations, all past issues starting with the first-ever Zipped Spring 2014 edition, and more. I am beyond excited to continue expanding this new platform that heightens our average user experience.

On the website, you can also view a variety of video campaigns beginning from our Summer Breeze Social Teaser to our Fall Issue Launch Video. I directed these videos with our team to drive a new medium of storytelling and cause social disruptions, which overall increased our content's impressions by 50%, while upholding the magazine's values and bringing a fresh perspective to the brand.

Fall 2023

The season’s theme “Movement” captures how fashion has evolved beyond aesthetics, becoming a powerful force in creating and uniting communities. The way we move through life is reflected in our choice of attire, forming bonds that extend beyond textiles and thread. This issue is a celebration of the diverse ways in which clothing exceeds from just being the way we dress to becoming a documentation of society, transcending geographical boundaries.
